hrlaser@pnet02.cts.com (Harv Laser) (10/04/88)

Although I never met him in person, we chatted from time to time on
People/Link and I read his writings in Amazing Computing, a magazine
in which my own prattle has been published from time to time. The
Amiga community has lost a man of talent. R.I.P.

Title: OBIT FOR STEVE HULL
-----

[Those of you who read Amiga magazines have probably seen the name
Steve Hull. He was ST.EPHEN on Plink. The following article was taken
from the Express-news paper in San Antonio, Tx.]

32-year old Kelly Sergeant dies from Air Show Burns..

A Kelly AFB sergeant burned in the Ramstein Air Base air show disaster
has died at the Brook Army Medical Center, authorities said.

Master Sergeant Stephen R. Hull, 32, died at 4:07 pm Sunday.
He was flownto San Antonio and taken to BAMC on August 31, said
Lt. Helen Viscount.

The disaster occurred Aug 28 at the air base when three Italian jets
prming in the air show collided and one of them crashed into an
area occupied by spectators.

Hull was assigned as the deputy chief of infomation services at the
Air Force Broadcasting Service, a directorate of the Air Force Service
Information and News Center at Kelly.

He had been stationed at Kelly for about two years, said Phebe Brown, a
a Kelly spokeswoman.

Hull was a spectator at the air show and was not on duty at the time
of the accident, Brown said. Hull's wife, Deborah, is a former Air
Force broadcaster who is now a member of the Air Force Reserve and works as
a civilian paralegal assistant in the Kelly AFB legal office.

He also received the National Association of Government Communicators
Gold Screen Award for Outstanding Production in June 1985.

A total of seven victims of the air show disaster were brought to BAMC.
One of them, Army 1st Lt. Kim Strader, 35, of Salt Lake City,
died on Sept 16.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I felt that the users
should know.
