I have acquired Dne via FFish #145. I have 2 A1000's, one with 2 floppies and
2.5 megs, and the other A1000 is vanilla, 512k, one floppy. I'd like to be
able to have these A1000's comm via DNET, but I have zip "net" experience and
have a few questions concerning this setup:
1) Without a harddisk, is this practical?
2) The A1000 with 2.5megs would best be the server, right?
3) What can be accomplished via DNET? File transfer only? Could you work on
a common file at the same time? etc.?
4) What would the environments of each machine be? Workbenches? Other?
5) What cables or other hardware would be needed?
6) What is the maximum practical distance the two machines can be separated
without running into ANY(?) problems?
I would appreciate any advice or practical experience that you might be able
to relate to this "net" neophyte. THANX!!
