I have a couple driving questions that I got no response from on Amiga/General
so I've posted them to the net - and here they are:

Subject: 2000 Questions
1. Can someone point me to a "good" public domain program that encrypts,
decrypts, and uses a password for entry (decryption)? I want to use it to
"make safe" text files from possible prying eyes.
I talked to Software Visions of Microfiche Filer fame and they indicated
that PD software exists that will do this and work from a Microfiche Filer
macro.
2. I am still trying to correct my knowledge of what goes on when a disk is
inserted into a drive AFTER ctrl-A-A as opposed to leaving it in the drive and
hitting ctrl-A-A?
This came about when I experienced hard drive format problems and
discovered (read in the docs) to ALWAYS insert the disk at the workbench disk
prompt when formatting - and it worked! But why?
Thanks
Bill

Don't know how good, but arc does encryption and decryption. At least it says it does, I've never used it. -- +-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-+ Eric Kennedy | Bush & | ejkst@cisunx.UUCP | Bentsen '88 !! | +-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-+
