[comp.sys.amiga] windows with history

mcohen@nrtc.northrop.com (Marty Cohen) (10/25/88)

i use a mac ii at work (& my amiga at home, of course!).
one of the things i really like about the mac is the scrolling
windows with history - i can scroll back in them and grab
parts and paste them in other documents. someone at work
called this "active windows".

is there any way to do this on the amiga (without recompiling
anything, since i want this to work with already existing programs)?

thanks, marty cohen (mcohen@nrtc.northrop.com, 128.99.0.1)

I don't know of any implementations of CLI windows with scroll bars (to
look at what has scrolled off the screen), but I know of one program
along those lines. It's called HARDCOPY and is on Fish disk #75.
You can tell it to send console output to the printer or to a disk file.
Now, if somebody would add scrolling and a CUT function...
