A brief article in Computing (9/2/82) [the British analogue of Computer World, perhaps] mentioned the question, did anyone ever ask kids if they wanted a computer education. Perhaps this is irrelevant since noone has ever asked kids whether they wanted anything in their education. Nevertheless, it seems a unique opportunity to try to have kids (or recently-former-kids) participate in the large-scale introduction of primary-level computer literacy.
