I have 2 questions about 1.3. I would be very happy if someone can answers. 1. Are there ANY differences between Kickstart 1.3 (shipped with the Enhancer package) and Kickstart 1.2? (The 1.3 Kickstart disk in the package that I bought is unreadible, so I could send it back, but if it is the same as 1.2, why bother?) This is for an A1000, of course. 2. To recreate my harddisk partitions with the FFS, I want to back them up and then after the disk is repartitioned (to allow autobooting from an old FS partition); I want to restore things as they are, but with FFS. Can I use one of the harddisk backup programs on a Fish disk to backup from one filesystem and set of partition sizes, and restore to another filesystem and changed partition sizes? (This for an A2000.) I would be grateful for any advice about these questions. The little number below the hand & disk (wow, that was a biggie!) and 2. 1.3 Kickstart will autoboot from either RAD: (the recoverable RAM disk) or from a hard disk (if you have a controller with autoboot ROMs, that is) Actually, this information (well, at least the 2nd item) is covered in the documentation which comes with the 1.3 Enhancer, if you've had a chance to read it yet. Other than the above changes, no, I don't think there were a lot of other ones. And, the manual does state that Kickstart 1.2 will work fine with AmigaDOS 1.3 (so that A500/A2000 owners with 1.2 in ROM can still use 1.3 while they are waiting for new boot ROMs to arrive. -- - Mike Shawaluk (...!uunet!uwmcsd1!lakesys!mikes)
