To all, I apologise. Bob Page was write, I made a couple of typo's when posting my down and dirty way to stop the disk drive clicking with 1.3. I hope this has not caused any one any problems. I assume most will use Bob's nifty little program to accomplish the necessary changes. I have written a note to Bob with a similar apology, etc. If anyone cares the 014D in the postin should have been 014C and the 0D6F646F should have been 6D6F646F. BTW. These are based upon a posting back in '87 fro 1.2 by Bryce Nesbitt. I simply used DiskZap to locate where the data had been relocated and applied the same logic, i.e., change to single bit and then fake the checksum edit. Again my apologies and assurances it won't happen again. Dave CMSgt David K Detert ARPANet: detert<at>lognet2.arpa
