[comp.sys.amiga] 68881

rg20+@andrew.cmu.edu (Rick Francis Golembiewski) (11/14/88)

I'm using the peripheral style (MicroBotics Multi-function Module)
68881, the problem is not that it absoluty WON'T configure (The
Microbotics example [compiled under Manx C works at full speed, so it
CAN access the 68881) the problem arises that the same demo DOES NOT
recognize the chip when compiled with Lattice (using the new versoin
34.8 official 1.3 IEEEtrans Library). However the Beta Library does
find the chip, the only problem with the Beta Library is that it
gurus on a division by 0. BTW, there is a '68881io.library' file [from
Microbotics], that goes in the libs: directoy, I assume that 1.3
SHOULD be able to find it there, does 1.3 expect some kind of a
driver also? (That I would have to send away to Microbotics for :-( )
However if a driver is needed then why does the manx examples (which
does actually open the IEE library) find the chip, when the SAME CODE
compiled under Lattice Doesn't?
