Computer Direct does have a great price on the Amiga 500 ($549.95), but
their Shipping Dept. is not knowledgable about whether a money order or
check has arrived at their company or not!
I ordered one last month, and paid for it with a money order. A week went
by -- nothing. So I called CD's Shipping Dept. After answering their barrage
of questions (Last name, phone number, method of payment, etc.), they came
back and said that the order had not been filled!
I waited another week and still no response. I called them back and asked
again if they had shipped it yet. The answer was again "No!"
The next day, I had planned on going to the Post Office and cancelling the
money order, when the UPS lady arrived at my doorstep with the A500!
These people have great prices, but don't expect them to tell you
whether your order has been filled or not!
(WHEW!) Anybody got any cold water to put out these flames?
