Since upgrading to Amigados 1.3, Deluxe Music Construction Set no longer prints my scores. With 1.2 I used the epson printer driver to print legible, if somewhat grainy, scores. With 1.3, I tried using both the Nec_pinwriter and EpsonQ printer drivers to no avail. Deluxe Paint works fine with the NEC_pinwriter driver, so I don't think I have a hardware problem. Using the hex dump mode of the printer I found out that initialization strings are being sent to the NEC-P6, but nothing else. DMCS seems to think it is printing the score, based on the dialog boxes it puts up, but nothing makes it out to the printer. I am using an unmodified Amiga 100 with 512K of memory. DMCS reports about 115K of that available before printing. The printer switches are set to the factory defaults. If anyone has been successful in printing from DMCS to a P6 at a density of 180 X 180 dpi or higher, I would greatly appreciate some mail explaining how you did it. Thanks in advance, John Lamb lamb@thumper.bellcore.com
