I'm looking for the rest of the words to the first verse of "Coca Cola Cowboy," as recorded by Mel Tillis around 1978, and I believe included in the Clint Eastwood film, "Every Which Way but Loose." Here's what I remember; the lines with questionmarks are the ones I forget: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I called collect on the phone ??? But it sounds like someone else is lying there ??? ??? ??? (And she said:) You're just a Coca Cola Cowboy You got a Eastwood smile & Robert Redford hair But you walked across my heart like it was Texas And you taught me how to say I just don't care. And she said hang up this phone, Go on and leave me alone, Or he'll hear me crying and think I still love you. Please don't call me no more, I've changed the locks on my door, It's time you realized that we are through. (And she said:) etc. {philabs,cmcl2!rocky2}!cubsvax!peters Peter S. Shenkin Dept of Biol.
