[comp.sys.amiga] Supra disk interface and memory expansion box

jdc@rama.UUCP (James D. Cronin) (11/30/88)

Background info: About 7 months ago I purchased a Supra hard disk and
controller for my Amiga 1000. I picked the Supra because it had room
for up to 4 meg of expansion memory in the controller box. Seemed like
a nice way to kill two birds with one stone. I ordered the disk. None
of the mail-order places seemed to have the memory board in stock.

After paitently waiting, I decided to call Supra. They stopped selling
expansion memory boards for their disk controller over 8 months ago!
What's more, they "have no plans to ever sell them again." In other
words, it is now vapor. Not the best way to generate repeat business.

Because of this, I recommend against doing business with Supra. I am
writing to the president (owner? head cheese? Grand Pubah?) to express
my dissatisfaction with their non-existent product. I urge other Supra
owners to do the same.

Please send flames, unvented spleens, etc. to:
