Can anyone tell me what goes on during disk validation(?). I was using scribble the other day, when the machine locked up after saving my file. The next time I booted it up the hard disk was bad(got one of those disk not validated msgs.) I seem to have had this problem 3 or 4 times in the last month so I returned the hard drive(local dealer is a bit underhanded) and got a new ST-225. Same problem, I am using about 100 buffers with the hard disk, and have a 2 meg and 2090A installed in my 2000B. My best guess is that the machine locked up before the buffers could write to the disk and update the file table. Any ideas?? later Barry

Im using df0: and twice when runnig scribble! my drive got really loud and it was all over for the floppy. I think that both times I had something else running that access the drive some moments (n>seconds) before scribble! crunched it. :-<. Oh well! Anybody else? Fentonite P.S. can you get greek characters in Scribble!
