I'm encountering some strange behavior with my 2090 controller and my new hard drive. Previous set-up: A2000 A2052 2mb card A2090 3650 Miniscribe HD 61ms access New set-up: A2000 A2052 2mb card A2090 3053 Miniscribe HD 25ms access June 16, 1988 release of HDdisk I preped the 3053 and fed in all the bad sectors. There were about a dozen. However, I am getting sporadic read/write errors on the drive. Sometimes I can hit the requestor and the drive recovers fine while other times it will guru with a corrupt memory list error. I ran a memory test and everything checked out O.K. Is this a case of DMA contention on the bus causing this problem because of the faster drive or is the problem that prep doesn't really map out the bad spots on the disk? I never had any problem with the 3650 giving out read/write errors on it's own accord. William_Bill_Hirt@cup.portal.com
