Problem: after installing 1.3 with ffs, following suggested outline in 1.3 manual, hard drive light comes on and stays on and never recovers. mouse control is available and you can still type but no prompt, so you can't do anything except rebooting. after rebooting, it comes up normally, but eventually will fail again. ** any suggestions for startup-sequence or other helpful mountlist hints? ** Thanks for the help... I've had the same problem, even under 1.2. I took the system into a dealer - their verdict is that the ST251 is the culprit. I haven't had a chance to try putting in another drive to see if that really does cure the problem. BTW - my configuration is the same - A2090 and ST251. eric ...!pyramid!eric
