[comp.sys.amiga] A500 & related dreck.

Well, my 500's keyboard is flaking out pretty badly. It's not the
electronics but individual keys. It has the type with a pair of metal
contacts seperated by a piece of plastic which moves out of the way when
you hit the key. Certain keys are less than optimal now and you have to
pound them to get contact. Is there some way to fix this? Should I buy
a new keyboard? Where can you buy a new 500 kbd and how much should I
expect to pay?

On a related note, I am thinking about overloading my senses and would
like to buy a genlock. What is the best one to get in the $ < 300 range?

Chris

P.S. Is there an upgrade policy to upgrade 500 --> 2000?

P.P.S. Who knows of a mailorder place that has the a2090a IN STOCK?

Thanks again...

New A500 keyboard direct from commodore, complete with attached Amiga (no
extra charge) only $595. :-)

Seriously though, don't even consider throwing away your keyboard. Just
pull the key caps, clean throroughly, and spray the hell out of it with
some contact cleaner. (Available from finer electronics stores everywhere.)
