I have a midi.library for which I'd like to construct an .FD file to use to make a .BMAP file to access the library from AmigaBASIC (whew!). Can someone fill me in on how to construct this? Thanks. Happy Holidays! Kip Landingham LANDINGHAM%DECEAT@DECWRL.DEC.COM

gosh, it's a long while since I converted my .fd files, but I'm fairly sure the tool to do it was in some semi-obscure directory on the tools or extras disk. Just so you are aware, you have to use the path command if you run your application from a directory other than the one the .fd files are situated on (I mean the converted bitmap offsets) or alternately cd into that directory. I am also fairly sure that I saw the converted files on an early Fish Disk. Amazing Computing has a directory of the entire Fish Library. I know that the files somehow got missed on one of the very early versions (1.0 I think) and so showed up on developer's disks and in the public domain. Gosh, I haven't touched AmigaBASIC in about a year ... If I find out more specific information, I'll post again. LadyHawke
