[comp.sys.amiga] Zorro origin, multi-RS232 port

elg@killer.DALLAS.TX.US (Eric Green) (12/14/88)

A friend asks: what is the origin of the designation "Zorro" for the
Amiga bus?

I ask: Is there a cheap multi-serial adaptor, preferably that can be
plugged into the printer port? It'd be nice to be able to run a
multi-line BBS... but I'm sure not going to use an A-2000 for it (talk
about sucking the guts out of a machine, performance-wise! If it has
to be a dedicated machine, which it does, use an A-500...).

I've heard about the ASDG card. I'm sure it's great, but I'm not a
millionaire.
