More Amiga in the news ... In the "BUSINESS MONDAY" section of the San Jose (CA) Mercury-News for Monday, December 12, 1988, we find the feature story: The VOICES of SILICON VALLEY containing conference interviews with 3 industry pundits: Tim Bajarin Stewart Alsop Michael Murphy Position: Executive VP Publisher Senior Analyst Company: Creative Strategies P.C.Letter California Technology Research Int'l Stock Letter Location: Santa Clara Redwood City San Francisco Consituency: computer companies computer users investors Favorite Computer: Apple Macintosh Plus Apple Mac ][ but Macintosh SE "Requires 8MB RAM" In conference, we find the statements: "In the year 2000, computers may not be what they are today. Bajarin believes that computers will use graphics, sound, animation and music to rival an entertainment center at home and a sales presentation at the office. Powerful multi-media computers such as the Commodore Amiga and the NeXT Computer System back up Bajarin's argument." And: "His [Alsop's] next likely tirade will be against Apple. ``Apple will head south in a couple of years,'' Alsop says. ``They're getting arrogant and forgetting about their customers.'' Sheesh! All this in the San Jose Mercury News, which (previously) was notorious for its STRONG ANTI-Amiga and pro-Apple stance. Maybe there IS justice after all! :-) :-) Thad Floryan [ thad@cup.portal.com (OR) ..!sun!portal!cup.portal.com!thad ]
