Really, that is it. Last Saturday German's most famous show master Frank Elstner started his new saturday evening show "Nase vorn", translated "nose ahead" which means something like "beeing better than the others". The logo of this show is a hippopothamus (hope this is spelled right:-) There are four pairs of canditates which have to answer really silly questions and play stupid games ... but after each game a cartoon is shown. Four hippo's doing a 100m sprint or something like that and the hippo representing the pair with the highest score leads... But what really hit me was- the movie obviously is created with an Amiga, the Topaz font clearly shows that! The bad news is that the background scrolling is a mess :-( Obviously this thing was done with some type of animation program which uses system functions (Yes it IS messy, No don't want to start another flaming round :-)) The whole screen looks like a scenario from Summer Games. The sky looks like the dithering function of DPaint... But the Amiga is winning this race. Did CBM something? Or did Frank Elstner see an Amiga movie and this made him design his new show around the hippo movie? Great success anyway. -Martin @ @ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ===V=== "This message still Beta testing - don't blame me for bugs!" // !^! -Martin (BRENNER_M@DULRUU51.BITNET) Uni Ulm/F.R.Germany \X/AMIGA ^ ^ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- %SYSTEM-W-POWERFAIL, power failure occurred
