In thinking about what I posted concerning TV Sports: Football, and reading some email, I have decided to say the following. I do not consider Robert or Phyllis Jacob, or any of the Cinemaware programming crew to be personally "stupid," "brain-dead," "reprehensible," or "lacking in judgement." I DO however, still stand by what I said about that particular product. I consider it hostile to users by requiring a boot off the master disk and by forcing a reboot after every practice session or game. I DO feel that those problems aside, it is one of the best games I have ever seen for the Amiga (or other computers for that matter). The graphics are superb, the sound is nice, and the "sideline shots," commercials, pre-game, half-time, and post-game sequences are witty as well as being graphically well-done. Were it not for the copy protection and required boot off the master (as well as no mention of replacement policies), I would be telling every Amiga owner I know to buy it or at least check it out. HOWEVER, I cannot, in good faith, endorse a product that acts in some of the ways that TV Sports: Football does. If someone were to ask me if they should buy it, I would have to say "No, because it is copy protected, makes you boot off the master disk, etc...." I do not intend any insult or threat toward the Jacob's or Cinemaware, other than to express my honest disappointment and disapproval over some of the actions of TV Sports: Football.
