Moving up to a 2000 has been constantly on my mind lately, but I haven't been able to work out all the implications. There are many, many points in favor of the upgrade, but I have some specific problems which make it difficult to jump right in. My requirements: I use the Amiga almost exclusively for making music, using software I have written myself. I must take the computer on the road occasionally, when an out-of-town gig opportunity arises. Therefore, my main concern about the 2000 is its HUGENESS. )-> What are the exact dimensions of the case and keyboard? How much does it weigh (specify configuration)? )-> Does anybody have any experience traveling with the 2000? Would you trust it to as stowed luggage, and if so, how would you pack it? )-> Has anybody travelled with a hard disk? Any special precautions? )-> (Pipe dream time) Commodore: any work towards smallness in progress? This is one area where the IBM/clone (and soon, Macintosh) markets have a great advantage. )-> Repeat of an old question: anybody using or know of a flat screen for the Amiga? )-> (On a slightly different, but musically crucial, subject): How noisy is the fan? Thanks for taking the time to read this, and if you have any answers you care to share, email to me at the following address, or post if you think it's of general interest.
