Does anyone have the COMPLETE distribution for Jim Mackraz's Commodities Exchange v0.4 (or later, if there was one) that they could shar up and send to me (or make available for ftp)? Unfortunately, the copy of CX archived at uiuc (Fish 87) is missing the include files and example sources, and without these it's bloody difficult to write new applications. Everyone always talks about how wonderful CX is (which it is), but no one ever does anything about it. I am therefore resolved that anything I write in the future will not muck around with input handlers, but rather use CX if it needs to get at the input.device. We're not going to be able to get away with inserting handlers into the food chain randomly much longer. There are already some nasty interactions. In fact, I'd like to see a concerted effort on the part of the authors of all those neato utilities (PopCLI, wIconify, DMouse, vScreen, Click*Front, wKeys, etc.) to remove input.device from the application programming domain once and for all by converting to CX. I did it anyway and I am still not sure if I introduced any bugs when I did it (not having the same environment as Jimm). Has anybody been able to get past the limitation on Pork Bellies ? I do fine with sugar, coffee and potatoes, but I always lose the Pork bellies. Thanks in advance. -- ``Wake me up when it's time to go to sleep'' richard@gryphon.COM {b'bone}!gryphon!richard gryphon!richard@elroy.jpl.nasa.gov
