When you try to land on the island to the west of the major island near the carrier, the program automaticly puts your gear up, just like when you hit water. Pain in the as^2. In the carrier sub mission, after you have killed all the bogies and you get the mission complete message, you can land on the carrier sub and get a mission complete. Hint... if you are out of chafe and stuff, you can fly just above the water and the missles fired at you will hit the water. later...
