[comp.sys.amiga] Benchmark sources

ng@pur-phy (Nicholas J. Giordano) (12/17/88)

I am in need of the source (in C) for some benchmark programs.
I am about to install a 68020/68881 upgrade in my A1000, and would like to
do some performance checks of my own.

I am interested in the drystone, whetstone, and savage benchmarks,
plus any others that people think are worthwhile. I have Manx C (3.6).

I would appreciate it if someone could either
(a) email the sources.
or
(b) indicate where I can get them (where to ftp, etc.)

Many thanks in advance.

Nick

The National Bureau of Standards runs a mail-based server which offers
Whetstone and Dhrystone in several languages (not BCPL, thankfully).

Send mail to nbslib@cmr.icst.nbs.gov with the line:

send whetstonec from stones

Other commands it accepts are "help", "index", and "index stones".

Please post your results!

Thanks for the information - I tried it and it worked.

Now, all I need is the source to the SAVAGE benchmark.

Is there any body out there that has it, or can point me in the right
direction??
