I have the CMI processor accelerator and have found a small problem. When I do a power-on, the system freezes in mid-execution of the startup-sequence (after already transferred control to my hard disk). Any subsequent reboots via the CTL-A-A keypress works just fine. My config is B2000, 3Meg, ST251-0 40 meg drive, DOS 1.2 with ARP. Floppy startup-sequence: SYS:System/FastMemFirst Binddrivers echo "Transferring control to DH0:..." cd DH0: execute s/hd-startup Contents of s/hd-startup on DH0: Defdisk DH0: wait 5 pa -f <-- here's where I go to 14Mhz speed wait 5 ASSIGN T: RAM: [ etc. ] other assigns, start of GOMF,DMouse, VirusX, etc. I'm mystified on this one. Anybody got answers?? If you bought your A2000 in the US, it's a 99% or better possibility that it's a B2000. It is the US designed one, and the 'B' is an internal Commodore designation that differentiates it from the German designed A2000. I hope CBM warns us in advance if they ever have something Amiga designed in Germany again. :-) -larry -- "Intelligent CPU? From article <3634@crash.cts.com:, by lgreen@pnet01.cts.com (Lawrence Greenwald): : I have the CMI processor accelerator and have found a small problem. Put echo statements into the Startup-Sequence to find out exactly where it stops. It could be a disk validation type problem, or possibly the PA having trouble locking into sync when toggled. If it were the PA, you would probably see similar things fairly often when toggling, not just during the first power up. I'm assuming you have the A-2090 or A-2090a controller card for your HD... -- -Bill Seymour ...tektronix!reed!percival!agora!billsey ...tektronix!sequent!blowpig!billsey Creative Microsystems Northwest Amiga Group At Home Sometimes (503) 684-9300 (503) 656-7393 BBS (503) 640-0842
