I have my transactor for the ami now :-) After putting on the appropriate 1.3 enhancements on my ami 1000 with Supra Corps 30 Meg drive, I noticed that my backup program (cpio) would fail with a bus error when using the fast file system. I did extensive testing of this under all sorts of FFS systems (ram, hard disk) and found out that there was indeed a problem with the driver from Supra Corp. I notified them and they sent me the latest driver from 5.1b to try out. There was a problem with doing reads on odd byte boundaries apparently. (so they say). I installed this and repartitioned my entire hard disk to have a 10 Meg and a 20 meg FFS partition. It works like a champ now! I can use the FFS (with SupraMount) and everything seems to work. I have not had a chance to do speed test, but there is some speed up I will *not* be posting a comparison of the old vs new. :-) So, now I have my amiga working completely again, and can start my development work on graphics again. What!!?? I'm getting married in 31 days and my fiance is playing Tetrix all the time so I have to address all the invites! Oh My GAWD!!! I won't have time to write anything in that time! Oh well, maybe after the wedding. I may try to get Mount to work now. This should be fun :-) Thanks for everyone who offered help. After I get back from the honeymoon I should have some stuff to post.
