Hmmm, then was I dreaming when my Amigas operated (in 1985) with 256K RAM before I installed the extra 256K (for 512KBytes, total) in the nosepieces of the A1000s? And the AT&T UNIXPC (aka 3B1 aka 7300) seems to function just fine, even the small ones, running UNIX SVR2+ with just 512KByte RAM on the motherboard.
