In a blatant effort to stuff the pipeline, I have sent the binaries for my Browser, rev 1.6, to Bob Page. sed 's/^X//' > browser.readme << '//END' XWell, here it is. After much internal debate I have decided to take Browser Xas it is and release it as shareware, rather than polish it some more and try Xto make it a commercial product. X X - I'm not able to work on code for the Amiga as hard as I used to. X This has nothing to do with the computer... the real world is X imposing on my time. X X - I've run into some bugs in the current version of the Manx 'C' X compiler, version 3.6a, that are just too much trouble for me to X get a workaround done. X X - The largest commercial advantage to Browser, the ability to operate X on icon-less files, is rumored to appear in Workbench 1.4. X X - I've recieved word that someone else is working on a Browser. This X means WAR... :-> X XI will continue to work on it, at a slower pace. Future enhancements like XREXX ports and a regular command language will eventually get done. Releases Xwill, paradoxically, come out faster. They could hardly be slower... :-> XAny donations you see fit to make, out of the goodness of your heart, will Xhelp speed this process up. X XEnhancements in 1.6: X X Multiple tools menus. X No close gadget on the browser window. X Smarter window positioning code. X CLI support! X Real-time updating with scroll-bars. X Assignments appear in the browser window. X File sizes. X Selection of all files in a window. X Selection of files by pattern. X Duplicate file without having to move it to another volume. X Better checks for multiple volumes and hard disks. X Internally cleaner code. X Should support different fonts (not tested). X And lots more I can't think of at the moment. //END -- Peter "Have you hugged your wolf today" da Silva `-_-' Hackercorp. ...texbell!sugar!peter, or peter@sugar.uu.net 'U`
