Anybody know if there is anything comparable to Arexx for Unix? What I'd specifically like to find is something that allows IPC in a fashion similar to Arexx - that is - if the vendor of some software supports a **** interface, then you could write scripts to control the package externally. I know this is not an Amiga-specific question, so excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me for "wasting" precious bandwidth, but I don't know who else to ask. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ David Geary, Boeing Aerospace, ~ ~ #define Seattle RAIN ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A while back I asked Larry Wall if he would add IPC to PERL. His response was positive but not definite. I have AREXX but haven't had a chance to go into it too deeply, so I can't really compare them, but I suspect PERL would do VERY nicely. Wayne
