Hi, We here at Periphonics Corp. just got a copy of "Unix softalk" a newsletter put out by international data services, inc. of Sunnyvale , CA. It mentions a problem with SYSTEM III not being able to support two Unibus block devices. The paragraph follows... First, System III as distributed for the PDP/11 has major bugs with regard to having more than two unibus block type I/O devices on the system at once (i.e. it won't work). Does someone know exactly what the problem is? If so could you please elaborate? How does one fix this problem? Andrew Rodnite Periphonics Corp. harpo!floyd!peri!andy

System III, as it comes from AT&T, has a problem with UNIBUS map allocation. At Uniq, we have fixed this for our supported System III distribution for PDP-11 systems.
