I am looking to build a cable for the Amiga 500 to an Imagewriter.
This is for a friend that I would like to keep, so I want to get it
right the first time :-). Please note that this is for the
Imagewriter, not the Imagewriter II. I found the proper switch
settings in the 1.3 enhancer manual so now I just need specs for the
cable. (Why weren't they in the 1.3 update? Maybe there is a
different manual?)
By the way, my dealer didn't have this kind of information. They
aren't the most experienced dealer but they are new to the Amiga and
they try harder than anyone else in this area. What book might I find
cable information like this? If I told them which it was they'd keep
it in stock so that they could always look it up for people.
Shouldn't that info be in their dealer kit?

Tom, I have an Imagewriter hooked up...with a normal RS232 cable and a NULL modem. Be sure NOT to connect the power pins (I'm not near Amiga books, so can't tell you those now.) Of course, if your Imagewriter does not have the normal 25 pin connector.. this won't help much.
