Looking through the files sent to comp.{sources|binaries}.amiga in 1988, it appears I've missed several programs because they were too old and got deleted before I returned. The ones of particular interest are DROPCLOTH, TURBOBACKUP, DISKSALV, and LS. If someone could e-mail me them I would be very grateful. On the subject of comp.{sources|binaries}.amiga: Large scale testing will take too long and can't be 100% correct. If outside testers are used, you are likely to get a lazy few who let the programs pile up. An automatic 'unshar, uudecod, cat'er program would be very handy. If possible I think all programs should have runtime requirements included in the shar file. (I know if I'd downloaded 'moebius' to find it need 1.5M I would have been very pissed off). Keep up the good work Bob -----------+--------------------------------------+-------------------------- // | Kevan Gelling ekg@cs.warwick.ac.uk | University of Warwick \\ // |--------------------------------------+ Coventry \X/ | #include <witty comment.h> | England -----------+--------------------------------------+--------------------------
