Will anyone who is interested in using an FPS array processor (any model number) please send me mail? There was a long missive on the subject from Clem Cole at Berkeley recently which implied there were people interested besides Berkeley. We at Cornell certainly are, and have been actively working in the area of accessing FPS 'boxes' through Unix. We want what Cole is developing, and we want FPS to support his efforts. We also want to be able to hook the FPS 164 to Sun Workstations (they already have a multibus interface for Apollo). We need to be able to give FPS a list of names of interested parties because they are not convinced that UNIX is anything they should be paying attention to. If they could be convinced there was a potential market among the UNIX community, they would be more forthcoming with help for people like Clem Cole. In any case, if I can collect a list of names we will go do combat with FPS on his behalf.
