It's a pity that a lot of the schools which are spending on microcomputers don't spend a portion of that money on establishing a class on analytical thought. Even if the problems were similar to the ones in the analytical section of the GRE exams, it would be a step in the right direction. Many people who did not take an interest in math or computers in high school come out of the public school system without a clear grasp of the problem solution method, or how to solve a logical problem involving relationships between objects (i.e. giving a partial ordering relation for people on a set of stairs and then asking questions related to those people).
