I just downloaded the "Half-Brite Hill" demo animation from FF126 from trantor.umd.edu. I tried running it on my 512k Amiga 1000 and got mixed results. After loading it from a stripped-down cli (to save memory) I saw the "Hill", but no ghost. Then some strange vertical line garbage appeared and then a guru. Does this mean my 1000 doesn't have the Extra Half-Brite graphics mode? Or is it just because of a lack of memory? (Oh yeah, I also disconnected my external drive.) When I ran it from my Amiga 500, I got the same results, except this time I saw the ghost (which was not moving, the whole thing didn't move at all) My 500 also crashed. Has anyone else downloaded this file from trantor.umd.edu and had problems with it? Perhaps the file is corrupt? I believe the read-me file said it would run on only 512k- disconnect the external drive for sound. Any replies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks- -GEA
