As I recall, a while ago an official policy began under which
the U.S. would shift to using the metric system. At some point,
all labels had (still have..) to be marked with US (Imperial?)
units followed by the equivalent metric units in parentheses; at
some later stage the priority would be reversed and then finally
only metric units would be used.
I heard the other day that this policy has been discontinued
and that labels no longer have to include metric markings.
Is any of the above true?
