I have just discovered something mildly useful. My 1080 monitor has always attracted mounds of dust, because of static electricity. And every time I touch the case of my Supra Modem 2400, I get a static shock. Well, I finally decided to do something about the two problems, and so I am now using the Supra case in place of a static grounding pad. It works extremely well, and if I touch a finger of one hand to my modem and a finger of the other to my screen, the screen discharges, solving my dust problem and assuring that I won't pick up a fresh batch of electrons the next time I touch my screen, resulting in a nasty shock when I turn off my modem. While this may sound like trivial idiocy to most of you, I think the whole situation has a sort of lunatic rationality to it. Also, I recommend the Supra Modem 2400 highly, although I only dial out with it, and I will agree that it has the worst on-off switch I've ever seen on anything. -Dan
