Does anyone out there know anything about the Amiga Partner's Program? This was a program that ended last fall wherein members of users groups could earn credits towards future purchases by getting friends to buy an Amiga. You got $50 for each A500 and $200 for each A2000. The problem is this: I got two friends to buy A2000's, went to all the appropriate people and got all the necessary signatures. Turned it into the user's group president (I have my copies) and he sent them in. I think it's been about 5 months since these were sent to Commodore, and I've heard NOTHING! I called them in December and the person I spoke to said I should be getting something Real Soon Now (I'm not even sure if she knew what I was talking about). Needless to say, I'm getting pretty pissed. I've been holding off on purchasing an A2000 until I get this money, and if I don't get it I probably won't buy one! User groups who participated should receive something in the next two weeks.
There's been a LOT of administration to do to get the program wrapped up,
and unfortunately, the person who was in charge of it had a nasty accident
last year and has been off work since. Also, the paperwork coming in from
some user groups has not been altogether "speedy".
Thank you for your patience.
Paul.
