I finally came to the decision that I would upgrade my 1000 rather than save my pennies for the equivalent of a 2000 when I could actually afford one. 1.76 Mb of admittedly slow disk space is livable, so I decide to get RAM. In AmigaWorld I find a couple of good prices on the Spirit Technologies Inboard. Unfortunately, the price is actually close to $800 for 1.5 Mb. Whoa, I thought RAM was coming down in price, hence the advertised price was so low 'cos they have to make copy 3 months in advance. So what happened to the price of RAM? I phoned around town and can't get a quote for love nor even money. Can anyone say where RAM prices are going and how soon? Also, if anyone came give me a quick description of the various types of RAM and their differences, ie 64K 256K 1 meg and so on, I'd appreciate it. Seems to be something that's always taken for granted in all the texts I've read. neil
