I am giving up on BIX. The main amiga groups don't keep digests anymore, not much software to download, slow (STILL only 1200 baud), expensive, cryptic... Mainly because, since digests are not kept, there is no quick way to scan the messages (like "=" in rn), especially at 1200 baud. So, what do people think are the best commercial BBS's? I have heard that PeopleLink is good. Any other favorites? I am looking for a BBS that either digests the groups or has good fast scan capability. It would preferably run at over 1200 baud. Lots of PD software to download, and an active and knowledgable Amiga group, preferably with Commodore and developer participation. Cost is secondary. Do any systems match any of these fantasies? Please include the phone numbers with any comments. Thanks for any information you can provide. -- Carlos Smith uucp:...!mit-eddie!ileaf!carlos Bix: carlosmith

I am on ALL of the major networks. And American People link, or PLink as we call it is by FAR the best! Active message bases, they have THE most active file transfer area of ANY Amiga section on any network, and they are one of the cheapest! Around $5.00 an hour. And they do support 2400 baud too! :> - Doug - Doug_B_Erdely@Portal.Cup.Com p.s. A MUCH better value than Compu$erve!!
