Ever since I bought my Amiga 500 and A501 expansion, I have had trouble with seemingly random Guru #4's. Several times, my system has up and died as a result of them...the procedure it followed is somewhat like: Weird Guru. Like 8100**** that I never see. Guru #3. Machine does not attempt reboot. Guru #4. Machine attempts reboot. Yellow Screen.. All attempted reboots on my part produce Yellow. Ick. Ick. After getting to this point, if I pulled out the 501, it boots fine. Repairing/Replacing the 501, it again worked fine, but a day later... Same thing. Fixed it once more, and now it seems to work okay, but occasionally, I still get these nasty Guru #4's, and I'm wondering when I'll get the delightful Yellow screen again. Could this be a problem with a chip on the 501? Or...one of the pins from my Amiga to it looks rather mutilated, could it be a problem with the connection? Help!!! Any and all replies will be appreciated. ---Mark A. DeLoura madsax@blake.acs.washington.edu ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Arthur Dent.
