I am thinking about buying some kind of Amiga system. The primary use
of this system would be word processing / graphics / desktop publishing.
Also, I'd like to do some software development, hopefully in Modula-2.
What I am thinking about right now is:
Amiga500
1084s monitor
A501 memory expansion kit
external 3 1/2 inch drive
a 24-pin printer (NEC p2200, Panaasonic 1124, Epson LQ850).
I'd like your advice. Does this sound like a reasonable system?
Would it be a good idea for me to spend the extra money to buy an A2000?
I also need some help picking out software for the applications I
mention above.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

This time however, I think there is something you should know. Most of the people on this news group are BIASED towards the Amiga. (Myself included :-) ) Really! It is an excellent machine capable of more than anyone currently expects of it. My guess is that you would be more than satisfied with an Amiga! Hint: You would be very wise to be sure you had the AmigaDos1.3 on your new system. If it is not yet shipping that way, it will be an extra 20$-30$. It is well worth it! I hope this humble opinion is of use to you. Don White zehntel!donw PO Box 271177 Concord, CA. 94527-1177
