In An article from early Jan : >We designed an expansion bus eprom card. It is autoconfig and supports up >to 2Meg of ROM using 64KByte eproms (27512). Access to the card is done >via a standard device driver which resides on an eprom on the card. So >our eprom card is autobooting with Kickstart 1.3. Several partitions can >be created to make later expansion possible. Each of these partitions >can be used like a standard disk device, e.g. ROM:, ROM1:. Installation >is simple: Needed files and directories are placed on normal disks. >The installation program reads all disks and creates the necessary >hex file for each eprom. > >If you are interested: > >Collion Computertechnik >Hessische Str. 40 >6800 Mannheim 31 >F.R.Germany Has any one heard anything on the availability of this?? I for one would be interested in purchasing something like this say with the :c directory and such installed. Updating to new code may be awkward but maybe it would be worth it for some startup-sequence virus protection. If one used EPROMS they could be recycled which would hold down the cost some. If any one has avaliability or price info for the US please e-mail. THanks in advance. Monty (619) 272-7468 Home (619) 268-7207 Work
