[comp.sys.amiga] Zoo doesn't crash me any more!

gmg@hcx.uucp (Greg M. Garner) (02/17/89)

Many thanks to all those that replied to posting about zoo crashing
when I unzooed from my supra hardrive. The problem was finally traced
down to the version of supra software I was running. Supra has a new
version 5.3 of the software which fixes a problem with reads on odd
byte boundaries. I was running version 5.1 of their software.
Also of interest, supra had a readme file in the file that says:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Supra 5.3 Amiga software driver update.

This software update corrects the problem with QuarterBack. The problem
was due to odd byte boundary read. You will need to rename the files from
.DEV to .DEVICE.

SUPRA NEWS:

New A500 1.3 autoboot interface!!!! This interface will be available
January 1, 1989. Current Supra A500 owners can upgrade by sending in
their current interface and $50. Please call for a Return Authorization
number (RMA) before returning your interface.

NEW Supra Format Series II!!!! This is a total rewrite of Supra Format
and the drivers. The new software will be available Febuary 1, 1989.
The new software will allow greater flexability of the format procedure.

I am not associated with supra in any way except as a satisfied customer.
