I saw these things in several magazines, and even tried them out at a dealer in my home town. However, as I suspected, the 3D effect produced is only good for people who have two equally strong eyes. Put another way: My left eye is stronger than my right, and although I use my right eye to some extent peripherally, I use mainly my left for normal reading and direct vision. So, when I try a 3D gimic, all I see is some weird effect, be it flickering screens (Haitex 3D), ugly blue and red pictures (blue/red glasses), or some other non-3D image. I'm still waiting for a 2D faker that will let me see '3D'. Comments, anyone? (open discussion for anyone interested, sorry if this should be in comp.sys.graphics or another comp.sys group) Baird McIntosh +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ |DISCLAIMER: I hope I have offended someone with the remarks above. | | If I haven't offended YOU personally, then please notify me, and I | | will try again. | |------------------------------||--------------------------------------| | BITNET: c503719@umcvmb.bitnet||INTERNET: c503719@umcvmb.missouri.edu | |------------------------------||--------------------------------------| |"Howl howl gargle howl gargle howl howl howl howl!" -- Vogosphere | | [for lack of a better quote] Voice | +----------------------------------------------------------------------+
