Here are a couple of problems I have encountered with PageStream. Try drawing arcs at several orientations. After a few trials the arc mechanism draws lines reaching far beyond the borders of the screen. Any attempts to abandon the current arc by clicking back into the arc icon in the tool box usually causes the system to hangup. I attempted to create an integral sign using to arcs and grouping them together. Any attempt to resize the resulting structured drawing element resulted in a complete distortion of the integral sign, which could not be recovered. I imported a 640x400 2-plane bitmap unto a page. Then I inserted a blank page to be the first page. When I flipped to the second page the bitmap, of course, appeared. However, when I flipped back to the first page the bitmap still remained. Resizing or zooming the window only caused further distortion of the bitmap picture that should not exist on the first page. After first shrinking the window to its minimum and then enlarging to full size the bitmap picture disappeared. PageStream failed to import Aegis Draw Plus drawings although the manual claims it can. PageStream produces increasingly distorted dot matrix output for densities below 300x300 dpi. Even an Epson at 240x216 dpi shows distortion in the bottom or top of characters larger than 14 pts. It is reasonable to expect the output to be a little less defined. However, having portions of the characters fold on itself or a line or two of dots completely omitted is not reasonable.
