[comp.sys.amiga] HARD DRIVE BUYERS WANTED 2

tat00611@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu (02/22/89)

Hello Again,
I am very happy to report to any of you who remember my last
note on the sale of hard drives, that eight people are now happily running
their brand new ST-277N's. There have been a couple more people who have
expressed an interest in buying hard drives thru me, and I decided to see
if there were any more of you hardware hackers out there who might want to
join in on the deal. Here are a couple of prices to wet your appetites:

                  Seagate ST-277N 63M 5 1/4" HH $420

                  Seagate ST-157N 48M 3 1/2" HH $425

However, I can get any Seagate drive available. Last time I took
orders for external hard drive cases as well, but this time I'll just give
you the name of the source and leave that up to you.

I just want to say one thing about this whole deal. I am not doing
this to make ANY money. You may think that this sounds a little fishy, but
I figure it like this: There are many people out there that are very
committed to promoting the use of the Amiga and will do just about anything
for anyone to show that the computer is a serious worktool. Some people
give demonstrations, others write PD software, and some will show Amiga-
power to any stranger that walks in the door. I count myself as one of
those people committed to making the Amiga the best it can be, only the
way I have found to do it is to sell a few hard drives at as low a price as
I can. This will hopefully promote the computers prominence as more people
see Amigas with hard drives. Never-the-less, I can't do this forever since
it is not my business, and I don't have a lot of free time to spare.
Therefore I am limiting this offer to those people who call me by sunday,
February 26. I hope this limit doesn't exclude to many people but then
again, thats the way the boing ball bounces..

The best way to contact me is by voice (217) 367-4815 since I don't
get on the system very regularly.

AMIGISTS OF THE WORLD UNITE ... and good luck to all.

                                                      Tim Tremain
