Folks, I'd like to thank all the folks that sent me info about the correct cable to use. I erroneoulsy assumed the one I had would work. Now I get life (nothing intelligent mind you) so I now have something to work from. (The terminal is an HP 2382A by the way.) Thanks much for the help, Dave S.
