argh. i tried to copy marble madness to my hard disk (i got interested in it again for whatever reason after all these years). needless to say, it don't like hard disks. and for my convenience, i cannot delete the file c/MarbleMadness!.dat it has protection hsp----- and protect marblemadness!.dat rwed or any other form doesn't affect it. also, directly doing SetProtection("file", 0) doesn't do it either. how can i get rid of this (173K) useless file without reformatting my hard disk? (this is FFS on a Cltd system, if that happens to mean anything). as i recall, there was something called DiskX from steve tibbett, which allowed you to view the disk's structure (alas, i think it worked only on floppies, and most likely understands only OFS). are there any FFS-compatible disk editors that understand the disk structure (ie, will let me directly modify a directory entry without me having to manually hunt it down)? --Scotty
